I thought I’d do a quick post about a couple new things I’m working on.

First is the MakerSL Micro Belt Drive Extruder…it’s running a Nema 14 Stepper Motor, it’s belt drive and geared. This design is for the MakerSL 3D Canti Printer …it’s small form factory deserves an equally small extruder 🙂

Here’s a screen capture of the CAD Model currently in the works. I’ve printer several part for test fit purposes. The design is coming along well and I hope to have it completed and tested this weekend.

Update: Here are a few actual photos of the extruder parts printed and assembled. It is not without it’s flaws, and will require a few tweaks, but it has already proven to be a solid design.

Another exciting design will be our MakerSL 3D Printer Enclosure…this is a very rough CAD Model of what we have a so far…stay tuned for it’s released on Openbuilds.com
